Microsoft move to 'threaten net'
ISLAMABAD: Any deal between Yahoo and Microsoft could be "bad
for the Internet", according to the head of Google. Chief
Executive Eric Schmidt said that Google was "concerned" about
a deal, and said it could have implications for the "openness"
of the Internet, BBC reported.
Last month Microsoft proposed a buyout of Yahoo for 44.6
billion dollars, a deal that was rejected by Yahoo's board.

partner network to facilitate its corporate customers. The

during the first two quarters of 2007-08 to expand their
infrastructure, said Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on
Tuesday.
PTA receives 3,886 complaints
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has received
3,886 complaints against telecom services providers, including
PTCL, Mobile, WLL and value added services in the last three
months of the year 2007. PTA has devised a mechanism to
receive consumer complaints for various telecom services and
their resolution on priority.

KARACHI: According to an estimate, about 90 percent revenue,
the mobile phone services providers earn through voice calls
while over 10 percent income through value-added and short
messaging services (SMS) in Pakistan.
